In his interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno says he was “sucker punched” by Jimmy Kimmel during his 10 @ 10 segment. Jimmy decides to set the record straight.
I don’t watch much TV anymore, especially network television, but I have always been a fan of Late Night With Conan O’Brien & The Tonight Show, With Conan O’Brien. As the village elder, I can’t handle the grind of staying up late to see his show every night. However, when I do muster up the strength (through the power of vitamins) to watch his show, I am decidedly entertained, which is more than I can say about Leno. Granted, his show has been watered down for the masses (in my opinion), but that is part of the biz and his earlier time slot. With that said, Leno needs to take a cue from Brett Favre Michael Jordan Roger Clemens Oprah, and call it a career. You served your purpose (of giving nightly seminars on how to tell unfunny jokes). Just ride off into the sunset.
