Apparently saying that a second championship ring was offensive to the greats of the game offended him, so he crafts this response for me and the rest of the haters.

Paul Pierce and I have plenty in common. We’re both Californians. We both are from LA. Both of us grew up Laker fans. There was a mutual hatred towards the Celtics that we shared. We went to school at KU (Rock Chalk!), and lived in the Jayhawker Towers. Unfortunately, fate decided that our similar life paths end in Lawrence. He went to Boston, and I returned to Los Angeles. I remained loyal to the purple and gold, and he didn’t want to be traded after the Celtics lost over 50 games in 2007. (When Kobe Bryant seeks help, you don’t remain on your 50+ loss team. You send him your resumé with references.) But that’s ok. He is happy where he is at, and I am enjoying my team’s third consecutive trip to the NBA Finals. However, when the ball is tipped off tomorrow night, the fact that he wore the Kansas red, white, and blue is thrown out the window. Paul’s a Celtic like the rest of the bums he plays with, including Brian Scalabrine. So I hope he loses. and that the insufferable city of Boston has another 86 year sports curse laid on them. They need one to put them back in their place.

All it takes are two wins by Orlando to possibly make me reconsider having a Lakers – Celtics revenge match. The only other outcome to the playoffs that is better than the Lakers beating the Celtics in The Finals, is Boston completing the historical fail by being the first team in NBA history to lose four straight in a playoff series after being up 3-0.
Hey Boston, I hope those brooms are properly stowed for landing, because this playoff ride could be coming to an end very soon. Learn from Sho-nuff. When you have your opponent face first in water, drown the bastard!
